Support The Baig Family During Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
Sayyada Yasmeen Sultana (Yasmeen) was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of 2021. She began Chemotherapy in May of 2021 and has a long road of treatment ahead. Yasmeen and her Husband Mirza are the caregivers for their two sons, Mustafa (1) and Mohammed (7). They have made a home for their family in Lakewood, Ohio, and love their community.
The exhaustion of treatment has created a hardship for the family as Yasmeen cares for their children while Mirza works the second shift at a gas station across town. Finding additional in-home support is complicated for this family. Their son Mohammed was born with severe disabilities that require around-the-clock skilled care that is provided by both parents. The challenge they are facing now is that while Dad is at work, Yasmeen is trying to manage the side effects of Chemotherapy while also caring for Mohammed and Mustafa. The parents also must secure skilled child care for their sons during the chemotherapy treatments and doctors appointments for Mom. This has been stressful for the family as they have limited resources.
Please consider making a donation to support Yasmeen and her family during her treatment and recovery. Any donations will be used to lessen the financial strain on the family so they are able to utilize skilled childcare providers when needed, assist with household expenses, and lessen the burden of uncovered medical and prescription costs for the family.

Is it ever really possible to get that family photo? Here you see Mirza holding Mustafa (who would much rather be playing with his toys) and Mohammed seated next to his Mom, Yasemeen. The love in their home is magical!

Yasmeen and Mustafa (1) in good spirits the day her port was put in at Metro Hospital. Mustafa is an amazing little brother and son. He loves to play with other children, play with his toys and most of all snuggle with his Mom and Dad.

Mohammed is 7 years old and has multiple disabilities that require intensive support, therapies, and daily medical care. He was diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, gross motor impairment, profound intellectual disability, dysphagia, oropharyngeal dysphagia, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube, feeding difficulties and exotropia. His mother and father are his caregivers around the clock.

In this photo, Mohammed (7) is receiving services at home from the local school district. His face lights up when his amazing teachers come to work with him. On this day, both Mohammed and his brother enjoyed watching bubbles float around the room and listening to stories.

Mom & Dad with Mohammed during healthier times. Yasmeen has her own dreams of getting a job and learning to drive when she beats cancer.
