Support the Baker Family After the Loss of Gary Baker
Dear friends, family, and community,
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Baker, a lifelong resident of Branson, Missouri, on October 6, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Gary was 75 years old.
Gary was known throughout the community as a talented leather craftsman, owning and operating Wilderness Leatherworks for most of his life. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and granddad who brought joy to everyone he met. His devotion to his family, especially his grandchildren, was the cornerstone of his life. He was always surrounded by his loved ones, whether he liked it or not, and their love was a great source of comfort to him.
Gary wasn’t just a beloved family man—he was also a role model and father figure for many who crossed his path. He was the kind of man who always took the time to listen and offer advice, never afraid to lend a helping hand. He was the type of man that America is truly in short supply of today. His impact on those around him will be felt for years to come.
As a friend of the Baker family, I am putting this together to help ease their worries during this major loss. With funeral costs and medical expenses adding to their burden, I hope to relieve some of the financial strain so they can focus on grieving and honoring Gary’s memory.
Visitation for Gary will be held on Thursday, October 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, with funeral services on Friday, October 11, at 1:00 p.m. Gary’s final resting place will be at Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery in Branson.
Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference to the Baker family during this difficult time. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping the family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
