Support the Barragan Garcia Family in Their Loss

It is with a heavy heart that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved father, Ramon Barragan Ramirez.

Ramon was a devoted husband, loving father, adored grandfather, and caring person, who unexpectedly suffered from multiple brain hemorrhages which caused him to pass at age 53 on Friday, September 27th, 2024. Leaving an unimaginable void in our family's hearts.

In 2009, unfortunately, Ramon was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and started treatment. Then in 2020, he suffered his first stroke, which affected his speech and his right leg movement. In 2022, our father then suffered his second clot stroke, which caused paralysis to his right side. Then, in January 2023, it was discovered that he had been misdiagnosed with MS, when in all actuality he suffered from CADASIL (cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy). On Wednesday, September 25th, 2024, our father suffered from his third stroke which caused a massive brain hemorrhage. He then was placed on life support and in an induced coma. On Friday, September 27th, 2024, our beloved father went into cardiac arrest causing him to pass.

In life, our father was a role model to the young. He would always go out of his way to lend out a helping hand to anyone in need and devoted his life and energy to providing for his family.

With our heavy hearts we are asking for the support from our family, friends, and community to lay our father to rest.

Con gran pesar compartimos el inesperado fallecimiento de nuestro amado padre, Ramón Barragán Ramírez.

Ramón era un esposo devoto, un padre amoroso, un abuelo adorado y una persona cariñosa, quien inesperadamente sufrió múltiples hemorragias cerebrales que causaron su fallecimiento a la edad de 53 anos el Viernes 27 de Septiembre de 2024, dejando un vacío inimaginable en los corazones y amigos de nuestra familia.

En el 2009, lamentablemente, a Ramón le diagnosticaron esclerosis múltiple (EM) y comenzó tratamiento. Luego, en el ano 2020, sufrió su primer derrame cerebral, que afectó su habla y el movimiento de su pierna derecha. En el 2022, nuestro padre sufrió su segundo derrame cerebral, que le provocó parálisis en el lado derecho. Luego, en Enero de 2023, se descubrió que le habían diagnosticado erróneamente EM, cuando en realidad padecía de CADASIL (arteriopatía cerebral autosómica dominante con infartos subcorticales y leucoencefalopatía). El Miércoles 25 de Septiembre del 2024, nuestro padre sufrió su tercer derrame cerebral que le provocó una hemorragia cerebral masiva. Luego fue puesto en soporte vital y en coma inducido. El Viernes 27 de Septiembre del 2024, nuestro querido padre sufrió un paro cardíaco que le provocó su fallecimiento.

En vida, nuestro padre fue un modelo a seguir para los jóvenes. Siempre hacía todo lo posible para ayudar a cualquiera que lo necesitara y dedicaba su vida y energía a mantener a su familia.
