THE BEAT GOES ON FUND
DJs are the musical lifeline to our communities and they need our help. The beat must go on.
Some of your best memories have a soundtrack. DJs are often responsible for that.
In this time of the COVID-19 outbreak, many working club DJs are losing gigs to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus. However, for many DJs, these club gigs are their only source of income to provide for themselves and their families. “The Beat Goes On Fund” was created to give DJs, who do not have a safety net, some financial assistance in these unpredictable times.
How does it work?
Working club DJs can apply for a one-time financial stipend of up to $400 to help cover expenses.
Please give anything you can to help working DJs whose economic lifeline is dependent on gigs at bars & clubs. As of today, this is no longer a viable option and they need your support.
Our $20K goal helps 50 DJs move forward in these tough times.
Info on this campaign:
Felix Flores (aka DJ Franchise) is a career DJ from the Bay Area and dedicated to supporting the DJ community in the Bay Area and throughout the US. As a person who knows quite well the scope of the working DJ life, the venue closures from the coronavirus have exposed the financial vulnerability of our community. 100% of funds raised for this campaign are going to DJs who have applied for a $400 stipend at www.thebeatgoesonfund.com. Funds will be disbursed daily as we reach a stipend amount. DJs with the highest need will be selected if the number of applications outnumbers the fund resources. Funds from this campaign will be used to cover everyday living expenses for DJs that have their income floe disrupted or eliminated. First stipends will begin to bo out on March 23, 2020, if not earlier.
