Support the Bednarek Family

Hello, our names are Carrie Valan and Mandy Horner. We are the sisters of Sarah Bednarek. On the evening of Friday, 9/23, Sarah & Steve Bednarek were involved in a head on car collision on Hwy 75 outside of Canby, MN. They were both airlifted to Sioux Falls with life threatening injuries and have been fighting like hell ever since.

They are both strong pillars in their community constantly putting others' needs before their own. Sarah works out of her home providing family childcare services during the week. She also runs her art business any chance she gets by providing art services to the elderly, the young, and anyone in between. Any spare time that she has, she is busy volunteering in her local community. Steve is an avid hunter who loves anything to do with the great outdoors. Any available moment he gets, he is out hunting, not only because he loves it, but to provide for his family. He works very hard at his job and is sometimes working more than his main job just to give his family the very best. They have three beautiful daughters, Morgan (16), Lily (8), and Madeline (5) at home praying hard that their parents are going to be okay. Whether they like it or not, they now have to rely on their community for all the help they can get. Steve and Sarah will both be out of work for some time so that they can focus on healing. It is a strong likelihood that Sarah will need to close down her family childcare business.

Life has dealt them a very difficult hand that we pray they can endure. They have a very long, challenging road ahead of them and our hopes for this fundraiser is to provide a some relief to Steve, Sarah, and their family so that they can maintain their focus on healing and getting back to their girls. The money that is raised will go toward their medical bills and their girls' livelihoods so that they may keep some normalcy in their lives.
