About our team
Since our rookie year in the FIRST Robotics Competition in 2008, the Bellaire High School Robotics Team has provided students the opportunity to apply lessons learned in the classroom on a real world problem. With FIRST Robotics Competition and VEX Robotics Competition, our students can learn and be inspired to pursue a career centered around the science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) fields. Throughout the years, the team has gone through ups and downs in performance. However, the focus of a student driven team remains as we allow our students with a hands-on approach to feel fully in control of what they build. For the past few years, we've been able to manage our finances to be able to compete at a lower level. However, at the end of this year, one of our main sponsors will end their support. Without them, we cannot fund our robotics team for the next season. In order to be able to fund it, we will be turning to you, the interested public, to help us continue our pursuit of STEM.
Costs for upcoming season
For the FIRST Robotics Competition season, our expenses are as follows:
- $5,000 Registration Fee and Kit of Parts
- $1,500 in Robot Materials
In the event of qualifying for the FIRST Robotics Competition State Championship
- $5,000 registration
Levels of Support
$5000+ - Diamond Level
- Robot demonstration at your business
- Invitation to attend a local FRC competition with the team(1-2 people)
- Name and logo(huge) placed on pit banner and FRC robot at competitions
- Additional team shirts
- All benefits from lower levels
$2000+ - Platinum Level
- Input on naming the VEX and FRC robots
- Team shirt
- Name and logo(large) placed on pit banner at competitions
- All benefits from lower levels
$1000+ - Gold Level
- Name added to back of team shirt for current year
- Name and logo(medium) placed on pit banner at competitions
- All benefits from lower levels
$500+ - Silver Level
- Name and/or logo displayed on FRC Robot
- Press release style announcement on our blog and social media accounts
- All benefits from lower levels
$250+ - Bronze Level
- Name and logo placed on website
- Name and logo(small) placed on pit banner at competitions
- Thank you note for your support signed by the team
