Support the Bettencourt ‘Ohana-Lāhainā Fire

Aloha, my name is Karleina Bettencourt. I am from Lāhainā, Maui. My family and I recently lost our home and everything in the Lāhainā fire. My parents, their parents, and many of my Uncles, Aunties, and cousins are born & raised in Lāhainā. Seeing our town destroyed is heartbreaking. The house my grandparents bought and built in the 1960s is gone. My family & I are completely heartbroken. My family evacuated from our house with little time due to the sirens not going off to alert them. They evacuated when the fire was burning the church by our neighborhood. Not knowing that we wouldn’t be able to see our house again. My Mama was working and no one could contact her for almost 2 days. Now my family is all together and safe. I feel so shame asking for donations but we have nothing, all of our savings in our home, everything left of our loved ones who passed, photos, important documents and many more is all burnt. Any donation will help. My family and I deeply appreciate it.
