It's Lara and Luka here! We are the writing team behind the new British comedy musical BIRD BRIGADE!
Born out of lockdown, we wanted to write a show that would provide a refreshing tonic of humour to lighten the mood and give everyone a good giggle. Bird Brigade revolves around fictitious "Camp Blue Tit" in the Peak District, inspired by youth groups in Britain such as The Scouts, Boys’ Brigade and Girl Guides, with a complete sense of parody and tongue-in-cheek humour. The material is heavily inspired by comic legends Victoria Wood, Tim Minchin and French & Saunders (to name a few!) placed in a commercial musical theatre world with a witty and musically eclectic score.

The development of a new musical takes time to hatch, and we are incredibly proud of how far we've come in less than a year. After self-financing several readthroughs, we are now in a position for Bird Brigade to get its first official workshop in central London. This is a key step in our journey to spreading our wings and taking our show out of the nest and soaring onto the West End stage!
