Support the Blazzard Family After Sawmill Fire
Donation protected
As you have may have heard, the Blazzard Family has just experienced a traumatic loss with the recent fire at the sawmill on Thursday night. The mill is a total loss and was not insured, as is industry standard. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
Although the Blazzards would not agree, they could use our help. There will be many unforeseen expenses as they rebuild their lives and we wish to support the Blazzards through this trial. We hope our community support will allow them the space needed to make decisions in this critical time.
They have been consistent mainstays of the community, through the many ups and downs in the logging industry. We may never know all the generosity and support they have given to the community over the years. They fill many volunteer responsibilities in the community as well as have given many people their start with employment. Just last week, their generosity helped the local scout troop with lumber for three boy scouts for Eagle projects.
On a personal note, forty-five years ago, the Blazzards gave me my first real job out of high school and continued their support as I made my way through college. I recall falling into the log pond on what seemed to be the coldest day of the year. Most importantly, I learned there is strength gained from hard work and satisfaction in a job well done.
I am hoping the community will respond and support the Blazzards as they recover.
