Help love to triumph over tragedy and trauma! Please support The Blonsky Family After Multiple Tragedies.
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters of the Blonsky Family,
If you're here, it's likely because this family has touched your heart in some meaningful way.
For those who know the Blonsky's, you already know they’ve been through unimaginable challenges yet remain resilient and they need our help.
Since the spring of 2022, the Blonsky's have been waging a head on battle against Lyme disease, a painful and costly journey that has deeply impacted their lives. They hadn’t caught their breath emotionally or financially when tragedy struck again.
On August 30, 2024, their lives were turned upside down due to mold found in their home following water intrusion from Hurricane Debby.
Already challenged by Lyme, the family became ill from mold exposure.
Sadly, their renter’s insurance denied their claim for medical costs, displacement, and the loss of their home’s belongings.
As if this weren’t enough, on September 20, 2024, the family was involved in a horrible car accident minutes from the Airbnb they were displaced to, with two other vehicles, caused by a driver suspected to be under the influence. Their car was totaled with them inside, and they have a road of recovery from their injuries including traumatic brain injury (tbi -concussion's).
The emotional, financial and physical toll of these back-to-back tragedies has been overwhelming, leaving the Blonsky family in dire need of help as they face a towering mountain of medical bills, the costs of displacement, and the loss of the majority of what they owned in their home along with the family vehicle.
While they continue on their path of healing from all these tragedies, the unfortunate reality is that most of the specialized medical care they need is extremely costly to treat Lyme , mold and now car accident injuries. Not everything is covered by insurance.
They either need to pay out of pocket for crucial medical services or they won’t able to receive the full care they need for complete recovery.
Medical treatments for traumatic brain injury (tbi -concussions) are extremely expensive they’ve been told in excess of $20k-$30k per person : specialized care, medication, hyperbaric chamber, nad+ Ivs , neurofeedback , therapy and hands on body theraphy like cranial sacral are all crucial to recovery. Not all treatments are covered by insurance.
This is all too much for them to face alone.
This loving family, who has always given so much to others, is now in need of support from their community.
For decades, the Blonskys have been pillars of service, generosity, and love within their community. As a family, they’ve volunteered on special film projects at Bayside Community Church, using their talents in acting and modeling. They have joyfully rung bells for the Salvation Army, fed the underserved and homeless at a local non-profit, served in numerous other non-profits, and given financially to others in their time of need. They’ve led groups for women, parents, and couples. Their home has always been open with warm hospitality, offering those who enter a loving meal, listening ear, and helping hand.
Betsy, in particular, has dedicated her life to serving trauma survivors, including women who have been trafficked. Through her volunteer work as an integration coach using mind-body-based therapies, she has generously touched the lives of many individuals in her local Sarasota community and across the nation over the years.
Whether you know them through work, school, sports, volunteering, or perhaps you’ve been personally impacted by Betsy’s advocacy, it’s clear this family has been a source of love, compassion, and service for many. Love is a delicate dance of giving and receiving: Now they need that love and support returned.
The funds from this campaign will help the Blonsky’s with all medical bills, medical expenses going forward , household costs, replacing the belongings they lost in their home, purchasing a new family vehicle and breaking through these tragedies.
The Blonsky's are incredibly grateful for any support, no matter how small, and for the love and encouragement that so many of you have already shown.
Thank you for standing with them in their time of need. Any donation you can give will help ease the burden they are carrying, and if you’re able to share this campaign with others, it would mean the world to them. Your kindness, prayers, and love are deeply appreciated.
