Support the Brainerd Family
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that the family of Thomas Brainerd announces his passing. Thomas touched the lives of an immeasurable number of people which can be evidenced in the number of tributes that have been left on his truck in Ganges on Salt Spring Island. The light and laughter he brought to the lives of everyone who loved him is something that can never be dimmed. Thomas was generous, kind, supportive and loving to those who crossed his path. He always went the extra mile.
His business as an arborist brought him immense joy through hard work, and his friendly outgoing nature put him in contact with the community on a frequent basis.
We are asking for support for the beautiful family that Thomas created, his wife Monica, and his two lovely boys, Nolan and Arden, so that they can take the time to be together and grieve the loss of their loved one and celebrate and reflect on what he meant to them. Taking care of the people he loved was Thomas’ top priority. “Family Comes First” was his motto.
This family is such a wonderful part of our community and beyond and they require our help at this time. We understand that you may not be able to make a large donation and worry that a small one will not be of help. Please do not think that any show of support is too small, anything will help to give the family the time and financial relief they need to be able to take the time they deserve to heal.
