Support the Burton Family After Devastating Fire

Saturdays are supposed to be for sleeping in, but something woke up Randal at 2:47AM on September 14th. A bright orange light blaring through their bedroom window at the back of the house.
“Stephanie! The house is on fire!!”
The fire quickly climbed the outside of the house and within a minute of scrambling down the steps to the front door - the top floor and roof were engulfed in flames. Randal and Stephanie made it out safely with literally just the clothes they went to sleep in the night before and their beloved dog Ninja. Thankfully their teenage daughter wasn’t home with them that night so she is also safe.
Randal and Stephanie have hearts of gold. In their personal and professional lives, both serve and give generously to others without expecting anything in return. They own Gracie Cincinnati Jiu Jitsu (in Blue Ash, Ohio), where Randal is a Black Belt instructor and leader of many. He has a heart for teaching and training the next generation. Stephanie has been a hospice nurse, guiding families through delicate emotional situations for years. She has seen grief and trauma in all its stages and continues to pour out from her heart. These two people are outstanding humans.
While they wade through paperwork and all that comes with the total loss of their home and possessions, the Burton Family could use our help in several different ways:
- This GoFundMe will be used to purchase clothes, pay for bills, buy food, and anything else that they need to rebuild and purchase the physical things in their lives that were destroyed. It is at Stephanie & Randal's discretion how funds will be used to best help.
- For local (aka Greater Cincinnati, Ohio) families, there will be a meal train available and updated once they know where they will be staying and what would be most helpful for them during this time.

- Amazon Wishlist to be updated here once we know what is needed.
- Gift Cards (like Meijer/Kroger, restaurants, etc.) can be mailed. Right now, they put a hold on mail until they have a more permanent temporary place to stay. Stephanie said gift cards and packages can be mailed to the Reeds house to be picked up at Burtons convenience. Contact Stacy Reed through GoFundMe for mailing address.
- If you are a praying person - please pray for peace and hope in their hearts, for insurance to come through, for whatever is needed to rebuild (emotionally and physically) to happen without delay, and for restful nights of sleep for everyone.
