Support The Cambodia Daily Exiled Sustainable

The Cambodia Daily, a prominent English-language newspaper in Cambodia, faced a significant crisis in 2017 when it was forced to shut down due to a government crackdown on independent media. Following the closure, some of staff members sought refuge outside of Cambodia to continue their work as exiled media to establishment of an online in the Khmer language based in Washington, D.C., this initiative aims to continue the mission of independent journalism that Cambodia Daily had pursued by covering sensitive issues like corruption, human rights, and government abuses. However, despite this commitment to independent media, the exiled team has faced challenges in securing sustainable funding. In response to this challenge, the Cambodia Daily’s exiled media group has recently ramped up its fundraising efforts to ensure the continuation of its work. However, without a consistent flow of funds, its sustainability remains in jeopardy. Therefore, the team is urgently seeking support to continue its mission of providing independent news.
