Support the Civil Disobedience Movement in Myanmar

On February 1st, the Tatmadaw (Myanmar Armed Forces) staged a coup against the democratically elected government under allegations of electoral fraud. 

Citizens have started a Civil Disobedience Movement to voice their anger and take action. Armed with pots and pans, people are making noise at 8 pm every night to voice their dissent. Across the country, medical personnel, teachers, engineers, and civil servants are joining the Civil Disobedience Movement by going on strike or resigning. 

Doctors and medical staff at multiple hospitals across the country are walking out from all non-emergency work to protest against the coup. Many are under threat of being fired by their superiors and their housing is at risk. 

We commend the bravery of everyone putting their livelihoods, careers, and lives on the line to take a stand against this injustice amidst a global pandemic that has severely impacted the economy. 

Please help us raise funds to directly support these individuals, particularly those who have put theirs jobs on the line. All proceeds will go towards supporting their loss of income. 

These funds will also show those on the fence that we have their backs covered financially, and will give them encouragement to go on strike. The stronger our numbers, the more leverage we have against the Tatmadaw. Stand with us!

ဖေဖော်ဝါရီ ၁ ရက်နေ့မှာ၊ မြန်မာ့တပ်မတော်ဟာ သက်သေ ခိုင်လုံမှုမရှိပဲ မဲလိမ်မှုကို အကြောင်းပြပြီးရွေးကောက်ခံ အစိုးရကို ဆန့်ကျင်ကာ နိုင်ငံတော် အာဏာသိမ်းခဲ့ပါတယ်။

ပြန်လည်တုံ့ပြန်တဲ့ အနေနဲ့၊ ပြည်သူလူထုဟာ Civil Disobedience Movement (ရုံးမတက်နဲ့၊ ရုန်းထွက်လှုပ်ရှားမှု) ကို စတင်ဖော်ဆောင်ခဲ့တယ်။ နောက်ပြီး၊ ညရှစ်နာရီတိုင်းမှာလည်း သံပုံးတီးပြီး ဆန့်ကျင်လျက် ရှိပါတယ်။ နိုင်ငံတဝှမ်းက ဆေးဝန်ထမ်းများ၊ ဆရာ၊ ဆရာမများ၊ အင်ဂျင်နီယာများနဲ့ အခြားအစိုးရဝန်ထမ်းမျာကလည်း အလုပ်မှ နှုတ်ထွက်ခြင်း၊ ရုံးမသွားခြင်း စတဲ့နည်းလမ်းများနဲ့ Civil Disobedience Movement မှာ ပါဝင်လာကြပါပြီ။

နိုင်ငံတဝှမ်း ဆေးရုံတွေဆီက ဆရာဝန်နဲ့ ဆေးဝန်ထမ်းများလည်း လမ်းမပေါ်ထွက်လာကြပြီးအာဏာသိမ်းမှုကို ဆန့်ကျင်ဆန္ဒပြလျက် ရှိပါတယ်။ အထက် အရာရှိသူတွေက သူတို့တွေကိုအလုပ်ထုတ်/ဖြုတ်လိုက်နိုင်ပြီး သူတို့ရဲ့ နေမှုထိုင်မှုကလည်း စိုးရိမ်စရာ ဖြစ်နေပါတယ်။

စီးပွါးရေးမှာ များစွာထိခိုက်နေစေတဲ့ ကမ္ဘာကပ်ဘေးကာလမှာ ဒီလို အသက် အိုးအိမ်၊ အလုပ်အကိုင်နဲ့ဘဝတွေကို အရင်းခံပြီး မတရား အာဏာသိမ်းမှုကို ဆန့်ကျန်သူတိုင်းကို မိမိတို့က အထူးပဲ ချီးကျူးပါတယ်။

ဒီလို အရင်းခံပြီး ရှေ့ထွက်နေကြတဲ့ အယောက်စီတိုင်းကို ကူညီပေးနိုင်ဖို့အတွက် ကျွန်တော်တို့ကအလှူငွေများ ကောက်ခံလျက် ရှိပါတယ်။ ဒီငွေတွေ အားလုံးကို သူတို့ရဲ့ လစာ ဆုံးရှုံးမှုတွေအတွက်ကူညီ ထောက်ပံ့ပေးသွားမှာပါ။

သူတို့တွေရဲ့နောက်မှာ ငွေကြေးပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာ ကျောထောက်နောက်ခံ ရှိတယ်ဆိုတာကို ပြသရာရောက်ပြီး၊ ဆက်လက်ချီတက်ဖို့ကိုလည်း အားအင်ဖြစ်စေမှာ အသေအချာပါပဲ။ ရရှိတဲ့ ပမာဏများလေလေ၊တပ်မတော်ကို တော်လှန်ဖို့ အင်အားရှိလေလေပါပဲ။ ကျွန်တော်တို့နဲ့ ပူးပေါင်းပါ။
