Support the Coleman Family After Devastating Fire

Just days before Christmas, Sarah and Chris faced a devastating tragedy when their home caught fire. When they arrived home, they noticed smoke coming from the garage. Sarah entered the house to check but couldn’t locate the fire until opening the garage door, where flames and smoke surged out. Their dog Sadie was trapped in the garage, but thanks to the first police officer on the scene, who helped rip the garage door open, she was rescued safely. Thankfully, everyone—including their pets—made it out alive.

However, the damage is extensive. Four rooms suffered extensive damage, collapsed ceilings, and the entire house and garage need new drywall, ductwork, insulation, furniture, and flooring. Many of their belongings, including clothes, toys, and bedding, are unsalvageable due to smoke damage. Sarah, who already suffers from smoke-induced asthma from a childhood fire, had to be treated with oxygen that night after trying to locate the fire and save the family dog, Sadie.

Sarah and Chris are parents to four wonderful children. They are incredibly hard-working and selfless, always ready and willing to help others when they need it.

Sarah ran a daycare out of their home, but with the fire leaving them displaced and living in a hotel, that critical source of income disappeared overnight.

Now, they face the daunting challenge of rebuilding their lives while providing for their family. Insurance will cover some costs, but it won’t come close to replacing all they’ve lost.
