Support the Contreras Family in Memory of Sebastian

On Friday, July 5th, the Contreras family faced the unimaginable loss of their beloved son, Sebastian. A migrant student, Sebastian spent his summers in Wisconsin while his parents worked tirelessly in agriculture. For nearly five months each year, the Contreras family called Wisconsin home before returning to Texas, where they are originally from. Sebastian loved attending school in Wisconsin and had a special fondness for animals, especially horses. He was known for his friendliness and kind heart.

One of my fondest memories of Sebastian is from a field trip we took together. While I was still recovering from a foot injury and couldn't keep up with the rest of the group, Sebastian stayed by my side the entire time. We chatted about his love for soccer and how he enjoyed Wisconsin's milder summer weather compared to Texas. He truly was a sweet, kind kid who touched the lives of everyone he met.

Sebastian was only 15 years old, and his family is now grappling with the profound loss of their son. The Contreras family had to leave Wisconsin abruptly to return to Texas and make funeral arrangements. They are also awaiting the necessary arrangements to have Sebastian's body transported to Texas for his final resting place.

The financial burden of leaving their jobs, traveling to Texas, handling funeral expenses, and transporting Sebastian's remains is overwhelming. We ask for your support during this difficult time. El viernes 5 de julio, la familia Contreras se enfrentó a la inimaginable pérdida de su querido hijo, Sebastián. Estudiante migrante, Sebastián pasaba los veranos en Wisconsin mientras sus padres trabajaban en la agricultura. Anualmente, durante casi cinco meses, la familia Contreras vivía en Wisconsin antes de regresar a Texas, de donde son originarios. A Sebastián le encantaba ir a la escuela en Wisconsin y sentía una especial afición por los animales, especialmente los caballos. Era conocido por su simpatía y su buen corazón.

Uno de mis mejores recuerdos de Sebastian es de una excursión que hicimos juntos. Mientras yo me recuperaba de una herida en el pie y no podía seguir el ritmo del resto del grupo, Sebastián permaneció a mi lado todo el tiempo. Hablamos de su pasión por el fútbol y de cómo disfrutaba del clima más suave de Wisconsin en comparación con Texas. Era realmente un chico dulce y amable que conmovía a todos los que conocía.

Sebastián sólo tenía 15 años, y su familia se enfrenta ahora a la profunda pérdida de su hijo. La familia Contreras tuvo que abandonar abruptamente Wisconsin para regresar a Texas y organizar el funeral. También están esperando los arreglos necesarios para que el cuerpo de Sebastián sea transportado a Texas para su descanso final.
