Support the Crouch Sisters

We have known the Crouch sisters (Denise and Crista) since our childhood years, growing close to their family during our wonderful years of worship at Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Houston. In November of 2022, Denise began experiencing nerve pain and challenges.

Her symptoms progressed. Increased numbness and pain and loss of some motor control down at the sacral level (S2 to be precise). More tests and diagnostics were ordered and they received the unexpected diagnosis of cancer. It was determined that she has cancer in both her lungs and her spine. The tumor in the spine has been slowly progressing with symptoms daily. Robbing her of her dignity. Causing intense pain. Pathology determined it is malignant melanoma stage IV.

Denise's symptoms from her spinal tumor continue to worsen. Her balance has become more impaired and she goes nowhere without her walker. She is currently receiving immunotherapy and radiation. Her most recent MRI shows that the tumor on her sacrum was predominantly at her S2 vertebrae. It has now fully enveloped S1 and S3 as well and is worsening her neurological symptoms and pain. New tumors are on her last 2 lumbar vertebrae and both sides of the top of her pelvis. A recent PET scan showed other tumors atop her L femur and L fibula. Still in her liver and lungs...

Denise was teaching before all of this started. Her beloved sister is doing all she can to physically support her. This family needs us. I believe God is asking His children to not only pray for this family but financially support when able. Please prayerfully consider donating to help offset medical costs and the cost of living without being able to work full-time or even part-time. Let's join together and be the hands and feet of Jesus for these amazing sisters!
