Support The Cure for McKenna's Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Maddy and I'm McKenna's older sister. My family and I are fundraising to fight against McKenna's rare cancer diagnosis. Mckenna is only 24 years old. She was diagnosed in November 2023 with Stage 3 Synovial Sarcoma after finding a lump on her pelvis. Only one in 1 million people are diagnosed every year.
Along with this devastating news, she will have to stop working and start chemotherapy. Her treatment includes five days of non stop infusions in the hospital, every twenty one days for about five to six months. Our mom has to relocate to be her sole caregiver. After chemotherapy, she will undergo radiation and a limb saving surgery.
Mckenna is one of the strongest, positive, happy, adventurous people I know. She's not only my sister, but she's my best friend. I was so scared when I found out this unbelievable news, but I know Mckenna will do her absolute best to fight this until she's healthy again. She has dedicated herself to make a positive impact on this earth. She has volunteered locally and internationally to make a difference in people's lives and in the environment. When she's healthy again she plans to dedicate her future to make even more of a positive impact in the world. Her smile and spirit brings so much love, joy, and hope to so many people.
Any financial support or assistance will help McKenna fight cancer to the best of her ability. This will help cover many expenses not covered by insurance; medical bills, egg freezing, medications, clinical trials, and potential proton therapy. Every dollar counts and is very appreciated by Mckenna and my family. Thank you for being a part of McKenna's healing journey and community.
