Support for Tanner after the loss of his Dad

Donation protected
It is hard to ask for help, even when you are in great need of it. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

It’s with very heavy hearts that we reach out in this time of hardship in our family. We ask for help raising money to cover the expenses that come with loss of a loved one and to help support Tanner, a child left without a father.

The loss of our dear and beloved Brother to seven siblings.
A loving Father that didn’t get the time to see his son grow into adulthood.
The best Uncle to 11 nieces and nephews.
A sweet Son taken too soon.
A loyal Friend, and V.I.P. to so many others.

John Russell Curran

J.R. fought long and hard against his cancer, he fought for as long as he could…Year after year he tried to beat it. He had victory for some time, as he surpassed the guesstimating life expectancy. A number of doctors thinking he wouldn’t make it to 30 and yet, he lived to see 35.
In that, J.R. did win.
In his own way, he won.

J.R. did get the gift of 2 years in remission, which gave him so much hope to keep moving forward. He focused this time and energy strengthening his relationship with Tanner, his son, and building a home for the two of them to settle into. Providing for his son was his top priority.

Over 15 years of battling, the cancer took its toll on his body and mind. On August 24th, they battled for the last time; J.R. could not defeat cancer. He is now said to be with our Heavenly Father.

In great sorrow, we find great relief.
We may be left here with holes in our hearts, but we will try to fill them in with compassion and relief for J.R.
To have an end to all the years of suffering he endured is nothing short of a blessing in disguise.

J.R. lives on through his sixteen year son, Tanner Curran. He will continue to live through all of us, his family and friends. We will share his stories. We will remind each other of his playful spirit. We will treasure the memories we shared with him.
J.R. will forever be in ours hearts.

We appreciate and encourage you to give what you can in this time of need. Our family thanks you in advance for spreading the word, sending your thoughts and prayers, and any donations.
