Support the Development of "Student Home"

With the help of numerous friends and supporters, two years ago we founded the Student Home in Yerevan. 27 students, who moved from the regions to Yerevan to study at local universities, currently live and receive informal education here. A huge THANK YOU to all the donors who believed in our mission and helped to make it a reality.

Our students use their knowledge and skills acquired at the Student Home back in their regions and villages, where they have put together teams that work to identify and tackle the problems their community faces. In other words, at the Student House, we educate regional leaders who in turn energize the youth of their communities.

The funds to operate and maintain the Student Home is generated through symbolic monthly membership fees paid by the students. However, more than often even this symbolic amount is problematic for our students from remote regions, which is the reason why students seek outside work, leaving their studies and community activities incomplete.

To prevent this from happening, we have taken care of the membership fees of such students until now with personal funds, because these students have great aspirations to grow on a personal and professional level and strive towards developing and giving back to their communities. To date, we have awarded a few of the most active and productive young people out of 15 students in need with a monthly stipend, thanks to which they were able to remain members of the Student Home, continuing to invest their energy and resources in reforming their communities.

It is these members who continuously prove with their achievements that the work of the Student Home is extremely fruitful and the guarantee of Armenia’s bright future. We are happy to announce that several of our students have already established youth centers in their communities, where educational and recreational programs are organized. Large-scale events have also been organized, bringing together the youth of various communities for exchanging ideas and experiences.

The examples are numerous and inspiring, and we need help from YOU to continue the process of nation-building through financially supporting more students to remain at Student Home, to grow, prosper and give back to their communities.

Current expenses of the Student Home are 1,200,000 AMD per month, which is generated by the membership fees of 27 students. With every $100 donation, YOU can sponsor and encourage one student's month of national service. Your donations will also be directed at enriching the Student Home with the necessary technology for student success, in particular with laptops: 15 laptops out of the 27 needed at the moment remain to be purchased.
