Support the Diemert Family
Hunter Diemert was killed in a vehicle accident in Livermore, California on Friday, August 27. Your G o Fund Me donation will go to memorial costs, as well as support for Hunter's parents, Steve and Amy, and sister, Anna while they take the time they need to learn a new way of life without an important part of their family.
Hunter was just four weeks shy of his 16th birthday. For the last year he had spent his weekends and all summer working to earn money to buy and fix-up his Vintage pick-up truck. Hunter and his dad spend many hours working together, talking about the truck and planning how to make it perfect for him.
Hunter shared a love for the Minnesota Viking with his Dad, but he shared the love of football with his entire family. Loud cheering and trash talk could be heard coming from the Diemert's home on game days as Mom is a 49ers fan and sister is a Steelers fan. Sports were an important part of growing up for Hunter; he played youth football for many years in Tracy and Livermore, and Freshman football for Livermore High school. However, it was Hunters passion for wrestling that really stood out. Hunter wrestled in Middle School for East Avenue and Livermore High School where he earned his Varsity letter as a Sophomore. Hunter was tall, and had a long reach making him hard to wrestle. The only time Hunter would be upset is if he lost a match, however after a snack and some time with his teammates his smile would return, and he was ready to get back on the mat and battle.
When Hunter wasn't working on his truck, working out on the wrestling mat, or sending funny memes to his friends you could find him outdoors. He loved to fish, ride dirt bikes, hike, camp, and swim. Hunter was an amazing friend and always kept the group laughing with jokes, stories and memes; which were only funny because they came from Hunter.
Hunter touched so many lives and still had so much to do in life. The words that come to mind when thinking about this loss are; not fair, and this can't be real. His loss will be felt heavily, for a long time to come by his family, friends and all who loved him. Donating to this GoFundMe will allow his family to take the time needed to learn a new way of life without Hunter, to relish in the memories, share stories, cry, laugh, hug and grieve together.
Please share this GoFundMe with other so everyone can know Hunter's story and carry him in their hearts.
