Support the Dixon Family: A Fight Against AL Amyloidosis
Donation protected
Our family humbly comes to our community to ask you to pray and provide for our son, brother, husband, and father, Burris Dixon.
Burris, Maria, Elliott, and Alora are faced with a challenging journey as Burris begins chemotherapy for an extremely rare blood disorder that is currently attacking his heart. During his treatments, Burris won’t be able to work, which will create a significant financial strain as he is the primary source of income for his family.
After a long journey of not feeling well followed by numerous doctor visits, blood and urine tests, Burris was diagnosed with AL Amyloidosis in December 2024. This is an incurable but treatable bone marrow and blood disorder that attacks his heart and other organs. Getting treatment is imperative in order to save his heart.
Burris is a loving husband to Maria and a devoted father to their two children, Elliott (10) and Alora (5). He is a key partner in his family's home improvement business and an incredible provider for his family. He's always the first to lend a helping hand to those in need, and his strength, kindness, and dedication to his family inspire everyone who knows him.
We’re asking for your support to ease the financial burden on Burris and his family so they can focus entirely on his recovery. Donations will go toward medical expenses, household bills, and everyday necessities for Burris, Maria, and the kids during this difficult time. This next year will be dedicated to his treatment and recovery and we are claiming success so Burris can live a long beautiful life that he deserves. We don't know at this time how long Burris will be unable to work but for now your support will ease the burden Burris is feeling as the provider for his family.
We are a family of faith and we strongly believe in the power of prayer. We ask that you join us in lifting Burris up in your daily prayers. If you are able to help financially, every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for the Dixon family. If you’re unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing this campaign with others and sending words of encouragement to Burris and his family.
Thank you for the love and support for Burris, Maria, Elliott, and Alora. This is going to be a long, hard journey but we believe God has big plans for Burris and the story of his healing will be one that impacts others. Together as a community we can help them navigate through this.
Much love and thankfulness from our big loving family. May God bless you.
"And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up" James 5:15
