Support the Edwards Family Efforts to Begin Again

Hi, my name is Showna and I am asking on behalf of my family, the Edwards Family, for your help in raising $75,000 to provide temporary relief after losing our home in the Eaton fire. Our abode was a haven to 6 people across 3 generations. Thankfully we are safe and sheltered as we figure out our next steps.

My family enjoyed 32 years in our Altadena home and we are devastated to lose it under these circumstances. Good-natured and hardworking, my parents acquired our house while raising 2 young children, showing my sister, Sheena, and I that anything was possible. Our home was a source of pride and symbolized a new beginning.

We put down roots in our neighborhood, creating family out of neighbors and traditions out of new experiences. Even as we grapple with what it means to begin again, we are thankful for the ways in which this community welcomed and continues to care for us.

With these funds, we will tend to our needs that might not be fully covered by other sources of aid. Having only left with what we could hold in our hands, we would use your donations as a means to buy food, clothing, hygiene products, as well as the unexpected expenses that come along with raising my 2 children, Kaden and Kadie.
