My name is Shelly Taylor, and my friend Lou and her family are in desperate need of help. Please read below to see their story, and I hope that you can find your way to help this truly incredible family.
Support the Erebara Family: Help Tony, Lou, Demaine & Bowie Through This Difficult Time
Life can change in an instant, and for the Erebara family, the past year has brought unimaginable challenges. Our dear friend Tony Erebara was diagnosed with ALS just over a year ago. Sadly, the disease is progressing faster than anyone hoped. Once the primary provider for his family, Tony is now unable to work and relies on Social Security. His wife, Louise (Lou), is not only working to support their home but is also Tony’s full-time caregiver while raising their two wonderful children, Demaine (17) and Bowie (9).
Demaine is in her senior year of high school, preparing for college—a time that should be filled with excitement and hope, but instead, is overshadowed by financial uncertainty. With Tony unable to work, the family’s income has drastically decreased, and their expenses are only increasing.
How You Can Help
We are reaching out to our community to help provide financial security and support for this incredible family. Your donation will go directly toward:
• Demaine’s College Fund – Giving her the education she deserves despite the family’s financial challenges.
• Respite Care for Lou – She has been selflessly caring for Tony while working and raising their children, but she desperately needs support and relief. Insurance covers very little, and additional help is expensive.
• Hospice Care for Tony – The best hospice care in their area, which will allow Tony to spend his final days in comfort and dignity, costs $575 per day and is not covered by insurance.
• Paying Off Their Mortgage – The ultimate goal is to secure Lou and the children’s future by reducing their financial burden, especially since Tony’s Social Security will stop after he is gone.
Why This Family Deserves Our Help
Lou has always been the first to step up when a friend is in need. She has been a caregiver for others when they were in their final stages of life, including her own mother, and now she is giving everything she has to take care of Tony. She is one of the most loving, selfless, and family-oriented people you will ever meet. Now, it’s our turn to give back.
No donation is too small. Every dollar helps to ease their financial stress and provide comfort during this heartbreaking time. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your friends and family. Let’s come together to show Tony, Lou, Demaine, and Bowie that they are not alone.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
