Support the Estes Family

Donation protected
Many people have asked how they can help Jackie Estes and her family in their time of need.  Losing a child is never easy and so unexpected.  Hearts are broken.  As Jackie's friend, I want to do something to help make this sudden loss less of a financial burden on her family.  If you would like to contribute I have created this GoFundMe page to cover the unforseen funeral costs.  Your contributions are not expected by the family, but will be greatly appreciated and will show the Estes family the love and support of their friends and gymnastics family.

OBITUARY:
Clifton Payne Estes, age 17, of Atlanta passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2018. He is survived by his parents Jackie (Clifton) and Rick Estes; sister, Lane Parker Estes; grandmothers, Judy Pate Clifton and Mareene Payne Estes; aunt, Julie Estes Bowlick (Tim); cousins, Meagan and Gibson Bowlick of Douglasville, GA; uncle, John Henry Clifton of Toulouse France, uncle James Harrison Clifton (Michelle); cousins Mary Miller (Molly) and James Harrison Clifton, Jr. of Atlanta. Clifton was preceded in death by his grandfathers John Henry Clifton, Sr and James Richard Estes, Sr. Clifton was a junior at Rivers Academy Atlanta high school. He was a member of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church. Clifton enjoyed wake boarding and fishing at his family’s lake house. Most of all he loved just hanging out with his friends. He recently began a job as a cashier at Target after school which he really enjoyed. Clifton will be remembered for his kind heart, bravery and his support and loyalty to his friends. At vacation bible school and helping coach gymnastics the children gravitated towards Clifton. He was tender and understanding. Clifton was a friend to all and always saw the best in everyone, he loved his friends and was quick to their defense. He was especially kind to the “underdog”. He loved his sister Lane Parker dearly and was proud of her and all of her accomplishments. He drove her to school for the first time on the last day of his life. This made him so proud! We will always remember his happy, sweet and kind smile.
