Support the families of fallen firefighters

On June 30’th, 2013, Eric Marsh, the superintendent of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, and 18 of his crew members tragically passed away battling the Yarnell Hill fire.
As a former wildland firefighter, this event was a pivotal moment in my fire career. My last fire was in Prescott, AZ, home of the Granit Mountain Hotshots. While at a grocery store, a woman walked up to me, said thank you, and told me to call my mother. We talked and I learned she was the mother of one of the young men who passed away. I called my Mom as soon as I got to the parking lot. I will never forget the Granite Mountain Hotshots.
On March 4’th, I will be running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours to raise money for the Eric Marsh Foundation which supports the families of fallen wildland firefighters.
My goal is to raise $1,000 for the Eric Marsh Foundation that will provide scholarships to the children of fallen firefighters and financial support to firefighters and their families following line of duty injuries and death.
