Support the Family of Ahmed Zainuldeen
Donation protected
Ahmed Zainuldeen's family fled their homeland during the Iraq War. He had been here just nine months when he was shot and killed in a carjacking in front of his family’s apartment on September 19, 2023.
We are raising funds to support Ahmed's mother, father and brother through the challenging months ahead.
Ahmed's family recently resettled in the Denver area after waiting for years as refugees to build a new life in the U.S. Ahmed was just 23 when he died.
Ahmed was bright, kind, and full of humor. He worked hard to support his family, as resources are very tight for newcomers in their first years in Colorado.
We are asking the community to help support Ahmed's immediate family to help pay for expenses such as housing.
This GoFundMe is being managed by Anna Hanel, one of their caseworkers from the African Community Center of Denver refugee resettlement agency. The funds will go into an account in which ALL proceeds from will be used DIRECTLY to assist Ahmed's mother, father and brother.
We are grateful for the metro Denver community and beyond, for your outpouring of kindness during this unimaginably difficult time for this family.
