Christopher R. Rugh, age 37, passed away suddenly on March 8th, 2020.
While his death comes as a complete shock to family, friends, and colleagues, those grieving his loss are finding comfort in one another during this trying time.
For those of you that didn't have the privilege of knowing Chris, he was many things to many people.
Chris was a husband to his beautiful wife, Michelle, for ten years and a truly present and proud daddy to his five children: Annie (9), Robbie (7), Evie (5), Daniel (3) and baby Charlotte (8 months).
He spent most of his career in the renewable energy space, following in the footsteps of his parents, Robert and Lori Rugh. Most recently, a Partner and Head of Commercial for Exus Management Partners in Pittsburgh, PA.
From my personal experience as his colleague since 2011 and friend, he was the epitome of a team player and brought an excitement and unification to the office that was unmatched. He was incredibly smart and hard working, yet remained humble as he achieved career milestones and an approachable resource to those just starting out in their careers.
Most importantly, he had the awareness to be exactly what people needed when they needed it the most, both professionally and personally. Somehow he always made the time to make those around him a priority.
