Support the family of Derek Terrell

Donation protected
Derek Terrell was a man of many faces – all of them smiling.
Derek -- known to many as Cujo or simply as D – left an indelible mark on everyone he met. Derek’s laugh could fill an auditorium regardless of the company or the setting. And his personality? Bigger than life.

My name is Robert Moore and Derek was my friend. I am writing on behalf of his friends, colleagues and fraternity brothers who are rallying around his wife, Nina, and their beautiful daughters, Olivia and Laila.

Derek passed away in the early morning hours of Dec. 1, 2022. He leaves behind a void that none of us will ever be able to fill.

D was universally loved by his colleagues at the New York City Police Department, his friends and the beloved brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. And he was a supportive big brother to Randy Terrell.

D graduated from Bayard Rustin High School for the Humanities before taking his talents to SUNY Morrisville. He studied and danced his way to Syracuse University and graduated with hip-hop on his tongue and unmatched enthusiasm for life.

On behalf of Nina, Olivia and Laila, I would like to thank everyone for their prayers, kind words, and for visiting Derek at Mt. Sinai Hospital.

I humbly ask for your donations to give Derek a proper homegoing celebration and to help support the love of his life and their daughters during this difficult time. Thank you.
