Support The Family of Jason Hines After His Tragic Passing

Donation protected
On Christmas Eve, our friend, Jason Hines, passed away unexpectedly at the age of only 52. With his wife, four sons, and parents all downstairs waiting to begin the holiday, Jason went upstairs and never came back down. This tragedy has forever altered what the Christmas season means to his widow, Shannon, and their four sons, Bradly (16), Beckett (14), Boden (11), and Baylor (10).

Losing a husband and father so unexpectedly is unimaginable. The family will never be the same without him, and neither will anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Jason was incredibly thoughtful and caring, goofy and fun, loving and hard working. He worked extremely hard every day of his life to support his family that he loved so much.

Although Jason was diagnosed in his 20s with a rare lung condition which made him ineligible for life insurance beyond the basic policy at work, his death was unrelated to that lung condition. Never having had any prior heart problems, Jason’s family was shocked to learn that he passed away from an aortic dissection. He was not suffering from any symptoms that foreshadowed his untimely passing, and his family is struggling with this heartbreak.

No family wants to ask for help, even in such trying times. Friends, on the other hand, have no such qualms. If Jason ever helped you in any way, made you smile or laugh, or even simply treated you fairly and honorably, please consider giving something to his family. If you knew Jason, then you knew that if he ever had the opportunity, he would have been happy to buy you a beer or dinner, or give you the shirt off of his back. He was kind and generous, loyal and trustworthy. His untimely passing is a tragedy to all who knew him, but a catastrophe to his family who depended on him. Anything you can give will not only be immensely appreciated by Shannon and the boys, but also by all who deeply care and worry for them.
