Support the Family of Navy SEAL Amputee Toshiro Carrington

Donation protected

On March 6, 2025, America lost a true hero, Toshiro “Tosh” Carrington. With over 20 years of experience with the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) SEAL Teams, Mr. Carrington passed away due to complications from cancer. He is the recipient of the Navy and Marine Corps Medal and two Bronze Stars, including one with Valor. He is one of only two US Navy SEALs who returned to active duty on the SEAL teams after losing a limb.

Mr. Carrington began his military career as a Marine, but a chance encounter with a frogman caused him to transfer to the Navy. In 1994, he completed BUDs training and was attached to SEAL Team 5. While in the SEAL Teams, he did tours with SEAL Team 5, SEAL Team 1, NSW Advanced Training Command, and SA1, deploying across the globe as a point man, lead sniper, corpsman, and Platoon Chief. He has five combat deployments, successfully leading several high-risk combat operations and training hundreds of U.S. Navy SEALs and foreign special forces commandos in covert and overt unconventional operations.

In 2004, Mr. Carrington’s hand was amputated in a breaching incident. Instead of giving up, he persevered, rejoining the SEAL teams within a year. After many months of rehabilitation, he completed four more deployments, served multiple tours as an NSW Sniper Instructor (Master Training Specialist), and served as a volunteer law enforcement officer after retirement.

When Mr. Carrington retired in 2015, he became President and Founder of Strategic Ops Training, based in San Diego, California. Tosh was also a Private Patrol Operator, a licensed Private Investigator in California, and the Director of Training for Strategic Ops Security and Investigative Services. He also volunteered with Saved in America, a non-profit organization that helps locate missing, runaway, and exploited children.

Words fall short, but Mr. Carrington lived to serve. We will forever be thankful for that and the many sacrifices he and his family made. He is survived by his wife Erika, daughter Hannah (20), son Asher (14), daughter Madisyn (29), and son Caiden (Sara) (33).

As a close friend of the family, I am asking for your help in assisting Mr. Carrington’s family cover medical bills, burial expenses, college tuition, and ongoing living expenses. He covered down on this country for over 25 years, and now it is time for us to cover down for him and his family.

Thank you for your support.
