Support Scott-Stauring Family:Humanitarian Leaders
Donation protected
Katie Jay Scott-Stauring and Gabriel Stauring dedicated their lives to helping refugees worldwide. Since founding their non-profit organization, iAct, in 2005, they have trained and employed hundreds of refugees to lead education, sports, and human rights programs in their communities.
Just before Thanksgiving, Katie Jay returned from a three-week mission at a refugee camp in Greece. On her drive home from the airport, she and her husband, Gabriel, were tragically killed in a car accident. Their youngest daughter luckily survived the deadly collision. The loss of Katie Jay and Gabe impacts their three beautiful children and an immeasurable amount of adults and children in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
Katie Jay and Gabe worked tirelessly, often without pay, to make the world a better place. They left behind a visionary organization and a beautiful family. We are creating this fundraising page to ensure those closest to them are supported and cared for in their absence. The funds raised will cover basic expenses during this period of life change and therapy, food, clothing, and other incidental costs needed to support Katie Jay and Gabe's children for the years to come. It's the least we can do for a family that sacrificed everything to help others.
Secondly, please visit the IACT website and donate directly to help the organization continue Gabriel and Katie Jay's dream of ensuring refugees aren't forgotten. iACT
