Hi, I'm Nathan and I am a queer disabled system host from the US and because of my health I couldn't hold down enough work to maintain an apartment on my own. I suffer from chronic pain and fatigue from fibromyalgia, and several mental health conditions. I tried to work from 2021-2024 but lost every job because of my physical and mental health not being able to keep up. I've faced ableist discrimination in the workplace too. I am struggling to get back on my feet. I had no choice but to move back in with my parents, and am currently living with an abusive alcoholic who is destroying my mental and emotional wellbeing. I already suffer from CPTSD and psychotic depression, and being around my dad is causing me constant anxiety, fear and pain. I can't take it anymore, and I can't live with him anymore.

I am in the process of finding work though the job hunt has been unsuccessful, I've applied for nearly 500 jobs since the start of 2024. I have an associate's degree in medical coding that turned out to be useless. I'm starting college for journalism in the fall, hoping to find a career in something I love.

I could say much more, but I wanted to keep it simple. All of the funds will go towards securing a safe place to live, and making sure I have a safety net as I move out and start work. It's to help with things like transportation to and from work, apartment fees, and first month's rent if need be. It's an emergency fund essentially.

Anything truly helps me (and my system) to secure a safe and stable future away from domestic abuse and pain.
