Support the fight against Scarborough Gas

Woodside Energy’s Scarborough gas project is one of the most polluting fossil fuel projects currently proposed in Australia. Over its lifetime it will emit an estimated 1.7 billion tonnes of CO2 - the equivalent of 20,000 daily flights across the world for 25 years. It will also result in immense damage to the marine environment and cultural heritage sites at Murujuga.

In November 2021, three members of the Scarborough Gas Action Alliance stopped all industry on the Burrup Peninsula (where Woodside currently operates and proposes to process Scarborough Gas) by blocking the access of hundreds of vehicles trying to get to these sites. Another SGAA member demonstrated at Woodside HQ in Perth with her arm locked in a concrete-filled barrel for ten hours. These amazing people disrupted Woodside for nearly 30 hours over two days and the fight continues.
