Support the Funk Family After Tragedy

On January 22nd, 2025, the Funk family suffered an unimaginable tragedy. David Funk, a beloved father, husband, and community leader, was killed in a car accident caused by a drunk driver who was both uninsured and unlicensed. Tragically, David's son, David Jr, was in the car with him at the time of the accident and survived, but is now facing both physical and emotional challenges as he copes with the loss of his father.

David was more than just a father—he was the heart of his family and a strong presence in the community. As the dedicated coach of the high school ice hockey team, David spent years mentoring young athletes, teaching them valuable lessons in teamwork, discipline, and life. He was also an avid outdoorsman, sharing his love for hunting and nature with his children and friends. In addition to his community involvement, David worked tirelessly running the family's business to provide for his family.

The loss of David leaves a deep hole, not only in the lives of his wife, five children, and extended family but also in the hearts of many in the community who knew and loved him. Tragically, without life insurance or financial resources, the Funk family is now faced with not only the grief of this loss but also overwhelming expenses.
