I cannot tell you how excited I am to have you read this letter. It is my honor to say that I have been selected as a State Finalist in the MISS NEW YORK USA® pageant to be held in August at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College. The New York pageant system is one of the premier state pageants in the United States and I am proud to have been selected from among the hundreds of applicants that were processed.

Competing for Miss USA/Universe was my childhood dream. I was astounded when I won the 2013 Bronx Puerto Rican parade in an all-hearing competition. I never imagined a deaf girl could take home such a crown and represent the neighborhood I grew up in and adore. I promised myself that I would become Miss USA/Universe if no other deaf woman did. I am a woman of results, therefore obtaining the crown is not my personal purpose. I want to show young deaf girls that anything is possible and that obstacles are nothing to be afraid of. This competition is the start of getting myself into Miss USA/Universe.I want you to know that I'm not just doing this to be an inspirational leader. I'm doing this because I want to make a difference, beginning with the young deaf girls who often assume that the world is difficult because they can't hear. I want to transform them by encouraging them to take that first step toward achieving their personal goals. With deaf communities on my side, I truly believe competing for the competition is only the beginning. I am confident that I will do well and that it will open up many doors for me and the little deaf girls for whom I am rooting. If I do become Miss New York USA. I will represent the state and compete for the national title of Miss USA 2023!

I am hoping that you will participate with me! Yes, you can participate and get some recognition for yourself and your company by being one of my sponsors. My top sponsors will be recognized in the Official State Program and in press coverage. My sponsorship fee will be $20,000, you can contribute to all or parts of it. The fund will pave the road for me to become Miss New York USA 2023 and give my community the recognition it really deserves. The title of Miss New York 2023 will introduce me to an entirely new social network, which I can use to create something incredibly beautiful and beneficial for young deaf women.
