Support the Gesimondo family

Jordan Gesimondo is a wonderful friend and colleague whose sweet little boy is dealing with some major health issues. Medical bills are coming in and it's just in the beginning for them of a long, long journey. Little E is so brave and strong but this is hard on him and his parents! I set up this fundraiser to help offset medical costs that are coming in as he is having chronic issues and needing multiple doctors, specialists, psychologists, PTs and more to help him manage. Here is his story:

"Ezio is our 7 year old and he has severe, chronic constipation. It's led to horrible encopresis that we can't manage. We have attempted numerous home clean out protocols with no luck. He ended up hospitalized at the end of October. It was supposed to take 24-48 hours but it took 5 days. Since the hospitalization, he has continued to get worse and is having horrible side effects from all the laxatives that aren't really even working. They are helping just enough to keep him out of the hospital. He is struggling physically, mentally and emotionally.

So now we are being referred to a motility specialist for additional diagnostics. However, the soonest those can be done is April/May. Local resources are extremely limited, and we absolutely cannot keep doing this until April. So we are pushing really hard to get him into the very specialized GI program at Nationwide Children's in Columbus, OH. But it's proving to be a very difficult process to get in, and is taking a lot of work and advocating. We are also trying to find the time and finances for pelvic floor PT +/- occupational therapy, and he has to see a health psychologist for the mental/emotional aspect of it all.
