Support The Green’s, Following Accident
The man in that picture is Theodore Green. Friends may know him as Ted. Sunday School kids know him as Mr. Green. I know him as Dad.
On Monday, April 5, we were on the other end of a terrifying phone call that a family should never have to receive. Our beloved Daddy had fallen off the roof while he was switching over his Swamp Cooler. He was then being rushed by ambulance, to the Trauma center at UNMH. We feel blessed that a neighbor found him quickly and got the care he needed. However, all we knew at this time was that he was unconscious and labor breathing.
After many hours of prayer and more prayer, they finally told us the extent of his injuries. He had some bleeding in his brain, 10 shattered ribs, punctured lungs, and broken clavicle. He was intubated and under sedation for all of Monday and most of Tuesday. Yesterday, on April 6th, my daddy underwent a 7.5 hour surgery to repair his shattered ribs. He will remain in the ICU for a few more days to allow his lungs and brain to heal more, before being moved to a private room.
My goal for this fundraiser is to make sure my sweet mom and dad have one less thing to stress about when my dad leaves the hospital. We all know that Ambulance rides, ER/ICU rooms, long surgeries, etc. can get expensive. Let’s show Mr. and Mrs. Green how loved they are.
If you are unable to donate at this time, please continue to pray for Ted’s recovery. Prayer is the most powerful thing and we have felt all of your prayers over the last few days.
Please also feel free to share this fundraiser.
We love and appreciate our family, friends, church, and community. Thank you. ❤️
