A Father's Last Wish

Dearest Friends and Family,

I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. It is with a heavy heart that the Grim family shares Tyler's passing with you all. He left this world during the early hours of March 28th, after a 4 year-long-battle with Terminal Esophageal Cancer.

Tyler was a father, a husband, a brother and a man who has always tried to provide for his family. I had many conversations with Tyler about not working anymore and enjoying the life he had left. However, it was without fail that he showed up every day to his job with or without a chemo ball attached to him. Take a minute to imagine that. Diagnosed with terminal cancer at 37 and continuing to work after each surgery, each treatment, and each setback. As I'm sure you know, his family has always been his motivation. He refused to give up, before knowing his family would be okay.

As Tyler navigated this difficult journey, his thoughts were consumed by the well-being of his wife and children. As his cancer buddy, we often talked about a future that his loved ones would face without him. The emotional burden of losing a husband and father is already overwhelming, but the financial strain that accompanies it is something he could not bear to leave them with.

In light of this, I am humbly reaching out for your support. I am seeking to raise funds for one of the sweetest souls, and someone who without a doubt, deserves it! Your generous contributions would help cover therapy for his wife and children as they cope with their loss, assist with household bills that have piled up, and address the mounting medical debt that has accumulated during his treatments. It will also cover the impending funeral and burial costs.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward ensuring that Tyler's family's needs are met as they begin to navigate a life without him. He wanted nothing more than to leave them with a sense of stability and love, even in his absence.
