Support the Hallberg Family After the Palisades Fire

Dear family and friends,

This is Svea Hallberg. I am the daughter of a family whose home was burned down by the Palisades fire. I'm a college student that goes to school in Seattle. On January 8th, three days after I flew away from my family for school, we got news that the fire had made it to our home over by coastline. When the evacuation order was set into place, no one was home, so we were unable to grab anything. All the photo albums, essential items, hand-me-downs from family members who have passed, and other sentimental items were taken by the fire.

We have lived in this home for over 20 years, and it's devastating to see my childhood home and our neighborhood gone. My family, our family pet and I are all safe; however these next couple of months are going to be a struggle for us all. As we take our next steps, the money raised from this GoFundMe will go to help rebuild our lives, replace essential items lost in the fire, and help to support us during this difficult and trying time.

If you are unable to donate, I encourage you to support those affected by the fires in other ways, such as the Canine Rescue Club, who are looking for volunteers to help foster dogs that have been affected by the fires, or donating your clothes to Set Active, who are helping give out clothes to affected families.
