Support The Haynes Family After Their Loss
Donation protected
My name is Haly. I am the sister of Brooke and the aunt of her three children: Zoey, Zaley, and Zandy.
On October 7, 2023, I received a phone call from my mother stating that Brooke was found unconscious and was being life flighted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. After hours of waiting for an update regarding my sister, the doctor finally came to break the news of Brooke's condition.
Brooke had a brain aneurysm rupture (brain hemorrhage), and the prognosis we were given was pretty grave. They had given her around a 30% chance of survival. Brooke was a fighter. After 2 days of being on a ventilator, she was able to breathe on her own and was taken off. She was responsive, sassy (as always), talking, and was able to remember all of our faces. She had conversations and watched movies with us. We were all so hopeful that she would pull through this. Brooke fought for her life for 10 days. Things took a turn around day 6, and she was placed back on the ventilator. After suffering from a stroke on her brain stem, we had to make the unfathomable decision to take her off life support on October 16, 2023.
I lost my sister, but most importantly, her 3 children lost their mother. My brother, mother, and myself are taking care of the kids and making sure they get and receive all that they need. This was all so unexpected, and I hate having to ask, but we would be so very grateful for any amount of donation. Currently we are planning Brooke's funeral arrangements. We are going to incur attorney fees while we try and navigate this custody/guardianship journey. The girls have their extra curricular activities that we don't want to interrupt. The most obvious is that we will be taking in 3 girls and providing assistance for Zoey to keep Brooke's current residence, which includes all bills and vehicle maintenance.
Zoey, Zaley, and Zandy need your support. ANY amount is so very much appreciated.
