Help Stephanie and Her Son Vinny After Devastating Fire

Hello everyone,

My name is Cindy Hernandez, and I am writing this to help my loving sister and nephew, who have been through an incredibly challenging time.

Just before the winter school break, the 2nd floor tenant started a fire in my parent's home, causing extensive damage, and leaving my sister, nephew, and parents in a very difficult situation.While we are grateful that everyone made it out safely, the impact of this careless tragedy has been overwhelming.

Adding to the difficulty, my sister, a strong and devoted single mom, and my nephew were recently put in a situation that forced to move back home with my parents. Stephanie, currently only able to work part-time was already navigating a challenging period when this disaster struck. The fire destroyed many of my nephews cherished belongings, and essential items that she relies on to work from home (laptop,printer, etc..). With the harsh winter around the corner, it is heartbreaking to see the joy and comfort of their home replaced by uncertainty and loss. Especially when the cause of the fire was a careless tenant.

The road to recovery will be long, and the financial burden is immense. Insurance will cover something, but won't begin to replace all that was lost or address the immediate needs of rebuilding their lives.

That's why I'm turning to the kindness of friends, family, and the community to help ease their burden.
