Support The Hodge-Crawford Family

Today we learned of the sudden and tragic loss of Dewayne Crawford. A  beloved husband, father, son, and friend to many.  

We ask for your support and generosity for the Crawford family during these difficult times.   Below are the words of his  wife Whitney of the recent events. 



"On May 21 At 12:45am I called 911 because my husband was saying he was feeling chest pains. They took him to the hospital at 1amand he kept communication with me until 9:30am when he said they wanted to keep him and do a heart Cath test. I thought he was taking the test when my mother in law called about an hour later saying he was in critical condition and we needed to come now. We learned that before He even got the test he coded and went into cardiac arrest for 25mins.They had taken a prior CT scan that showed he had an aneurism in his aorta it hadn’t blown but it caused the complication of blood flowing backwards into his left ventricle where it started leaking. The extra fluid going to his lungs built up causing
pulmonary edema  and ultimately irregular heart rhythms thus causing the cardiac arrest. They couldn’t do any surgery on his heart until he was stable physically but due to the severe cardiac arrest this caused his brain to be without oxygen for too long. This all happened within hours and prior to this my husband was not showing any symptoms of the underlying problems. On May 22 after several tests he was declared brain dead at 4:32pm heaven gained my husband.
