Support for the Hoffman's Furnace Replacement

We are asking for your support on behalf of the Hoffman family. Our hearts are broken on many levels having to generate this GoFundMe. We hope you'll continue to read below but in a nutshell, $6,000 was stolen from the family and that money was to be used for their new furnace. With winter around the corner and no heat, this was a horrific act of greed stemming from addiction. A police report has been filed.

As many of you know, the Hoffman family has supported youth in the foster care system for 21 years. They have opened their home and hearts to not just their biological children but any child needing a place to call home. In addition, they have committed their life to community outreach for adolescent mental health awareness. Many of you likely have participated in Emilio Inc. events, the non-profit organization they founded on behalf of their son Emilio. The love and support this family pours into anyone, at any time is unlike any act of love most could imagine.

We could elaborate on the theft and the crime that took place but this is a sensitive situation. The young man that stole this money suffers from addiction but it does NOT excuse the decision he made. This isn't just financial damage done to the family. This bears heavy emotional weight for the family and all of the people that have been on this journey with him. It's devastating on many levels.

We are asking for any support you are able to offer the Hoffman family to replace what was stolen from them. With the winter near, getting a furnace is a must.
