Support the Hunt Family After The Tragic Loss
Donation protected
Sadly, on Monday July 3rd, Johnathan Hunt and their four beautiful children, Jayson (19), Lauren (18), Olivia (8), and Jordan (6), lost their loving wife and mother, Amanda, to cancer after a hard-fought, 4-year battle. To say this is a massive loss to the family would be an understatement in many ways. Please take a moment to read Amanda’s story below.
On Friday, May 24, 2019, Amanda was diagnosed with Stage IIIl Cholangiocarcinoma, a very rare and aggressive cancer that forms in the bile ducts of the liver. This type of cancer affects less than 2% of the world’s population. There are no symptoms until later in the course of this disease. Sadly, there is no cure. The Oncologist said that because of the size and location of the tumor, surgery was not an option because it has also spread to surrounding lymph nodes, also ruling out a chance for a liver transplant. They could only offer her palliative care to make her as comfortable as possible until she succumbed to this horrible disease. When asked the Oncologist how long she had left to live, she said 4-6 months...maybe 8-10 months if she started chemotherapy. Despite the odds, Amanda fought through 4 long years of treatments, procedures, and numerous clinical trials before losing her battle. She was strong and resilient but ultimately passed away at the age of 36 on , July 3, 2023.
Amanda was kind and gentle and always had a smile on her face and was truly loved by all. She was a positive energy to all around her and no one would ever know she was battling cancer as she fought and battled right up until her death.
Amanda’s most important role was that of wife and mother. She left behind her dedicated husband Johnathan, and their 4 amazing children, Jayson (19), Lauren (18), Olivia (8), and Jordan (6). Johnathan promised Amanda that he would honor her wishes that he would make sure their kids were taken care of and that they would be okay. That he would do his best to always be as caring, strong, happy, and brave as their mom was.
Please join us in offering support and comfort to the Hunt family as they navigate this heartbreaking chapter in their lives. Together, we can make a positive impact and honor Amanda's memory by helping her family during their time of need.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
