Support the Hunter Family after total loss in Palisades Fire

On January 8th, our parents quickly evacuated from the Palisades Fire and soon after, learned they lost their home and everything in it. Aside from a few cherished photo albums, their lifetime of belongings and generations of keepsakes were lost in the fire. As our parents stare up the mountain of starting over, we’d be so grateful for any help along the way.

The Hunters moved to Pacific Palisades in 1997 and rented a home to raise their daughters in (that’s us). After saving for 16 years, they bought their condo in 2013. They were working toward a path to retirement, which has now been entirely upended.

Both lifelong Angelenos, Martha and Craig have a deep love for our beautiful city and especially this special neighborhood we called home. For the past 20 years, our mom Martha devoted herself to working and producing shows at Theater Palisades, the beloved community theater which was also lost in the fire. Our father grew up surfing in Malibu with his brothers and loves nothing more than being at the beach with his family. They now are doting grandparents to our children, Lola and Henry. We are so grateful for all the memories of the Palisades and their home.

Like the thousands of others affected by these horrific fires, they are processing all that has been lost and the challenging road ahead. In the hardest of times, asking for help can be the hardest of tasks. We are so grateful for our community and appreciate any support as we help our parents through this terrible time. These funds will go toward their unexpected new costs as they start over again.
