Help "Ride in Paradise" Cross the Finish Line!
Donation protected
Ride in Paradise is a documentary film about the power of small acts of goodness. It follows Brad Behle, a motorcycle-loving father who finds new meaning in life and rediscovers his faith after developing a habit of delivering teddy bears to parents grieving the loss of a child.
Most of us met Brad in the dark days after losing a loved one, when a teddy bear and a note from a bearded man on a motorcycle, felt strange and even miraculous. Brad is a simple man, in many ways a modern day George Bailey from It's a Wonderful Life. He has been delivering bears for 10 years as a way to cope with his own losses in life. He laughs at how "dumb" or "weird" it is to deliver teddy bears to strangers, yet this insignificant act, repeated habitually, has produced miracles in his community - even entire course corrections in the lives of both giver and receiver.
In the end, we hope viewers will walk away saying, “I can do that. What’s my teddy bear? What small and seemingly insignificant thing can I do to help someone who is suffering?”
FINISHING FUNDS
Every small donation or share makes a big difference. By supporting this film, you also help honor our lost loved ones, support our talented team of filmmakers in providing for their families while telling this story, and move us one step closer to a finished product that we can offer as a healing balm to those struggling with grief and loss.
This fundraiser represents the total progress towards our budget for the film over the last year. The first 100K has already been spent and allowed our talented team to complete principal photography and a first assembly edit.
All subsequent donations and investments past the 100K mark go towards covering our remaining post production costs on the film and take it across the finish line including editing, sound mixing, test screening, and finalizing color and score.
Disclaimer: No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to this GoFundMe.
TIMELINE
Principle photography is complete and the first assembly edit is underway. Filming was a beautiful, albeit emotional experience. There was hardly a dry-eye as our entire crew laughed and cried together every day with our subjects. Their heartfelt experiences have touched us in unforgettable ways and we can't wait to share their stories with the world. We believe our team can finish post-production and have a completed film by the end of the year.
EARLY INTEREST AND RESPONSE
Before we began filming, a proof-of-concept short was created to help us secure initial financing. The POC is 20 min. long and focuses on one subject's story. It was submitted to Angel Studios to gauge interest and performed well. Staff at Angel Studios informed us that Neal Harmon, co-founder and CEO of Angel, was aware of the submission and discussed it at a board meeting. We have since met with him personally at a film premiere and he confirmed his ongoing interest in this project. The same short premiered at Zion's Indie Film Festival and received a strong emotional response from the audience, including the moderator, who was almost too emotional to conduct the Q&A following the screening. We are confident that the final film, with its greater depth and breadth, will elicit an even more powerful and profound response in audiences.

INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY
This documentary is made possible primarily thanks to our invested and supportive stake holders. Shares, representing 1% ownership in the film each, are currently still available for purchase at $5,000 a piece. Please reach out to us if you are interested in investing. Investments are processed separately and we are only collecting donations through GoFund.
Each investor who purchase shares will be credited in the final film as an "Executive Producer" as their contribution is a critical component in a film's existence and subsequent success. Ownership in a film is a valuable asset. Shares can be written into a final will and continue generating profit and benefiting future generations so long as the film remains in circulation.
We pay all profit from ticket sales and streaming revenue of the finished film back to our investors first, until they receive 120% ROI, at which point additional profits are distributed according to a pro-rata split based on ownership.
For more information about investment (only available for contributions of $5,000 or more) please contact us to schedule a meeting. We would be glad to answer any questions you may have.
