As many may know, Kamil and Silva, the owners of Jake’s Variety in Downtown Dartmouth, are some of the kindest and most genuine people you would have gotten the pleasure to meet. In the recent months they have been victims of racism, multiple robberies and sadly this morning (September 29th) a completely unprovoked aggravated assault that landed Kamil in the hospital (he is home and healing now). I’m starting this fundraiser in an effort to help relieve some of the financial burden that these robberies and assault have left their family with. Their family has done so much for so many people in the community, including myself. Kamil and his family need the support from our community, both financially and emotionally after all these hardships. Let's come together and return some of the love that they've given to all of us.
