Support the Jenkins Family Through Their Medical Crisis
Donation protected
Mark and Leãn Jenkins and their teenage daughters, Kylie and Zuri, would appreciate your prayers as their family faces an unexpected medical crisis. Mark has been hospitalized since Saturday, March 23, 2024 when he originally went to the ER with severe abdominal pain. This pain was diagnosed as acute pancreatitis caused by gallstones. Unfortunately, leaked pancreatic fluids caused the development of two pancreatic pseudocysts, one 12 cm wrapped around his intestines and one 8 cm pushing against internal organ. On Tuesday, April 9, Mark was flown by medical transport from a hospital in NM to the University Medical Center of El Paso affiliated with Texas Tech University. His medical team is monitoring his condition while waiting for the pseudocysts to reach their maturation stage at approximately six weeks when they can be surgically removed. During his hospitalization, he has developed blood clots in his lungs which have been treated along with diminished breathing capacity resulting in the need for him to be intubated. This unforeseen medical emergency has put a tremendous strain on the family. As of today, Saturday, April 20, Mark has been out of work for five weeks with no scheduled surgery or discharge date. With the family’s permission, we’ve created this fundraiser to appeal to all of you who are touched by their story to ask you to please consider making a donation toward the cost of their mounting medical bills. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
