Support the Jones Family as Wesley Fights ALS
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Harper Wylde and I’m raising funds to support my best friend and fellow author Stacy Jones, and her husband, Wesley, who, at the young age of 36, was recently diagnosed with the progressive and incurable neurodegenerative disease, ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).
Any money raised will go directly to the family to support the increasing demands of such a terrible disease; including their immediate needs of getting a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, making needed renovations to their home to better support Wesley as his condition declines, and helping to cover the growing financial costs associated with his care.
Wesley and Stacy met when she was 11 and he was 13, and have been together since that day. They’ve been married for 11 years, and together they have an amazing son named Tripp (13). Before his diagnosis, Wesley was not only a family man but owned and operated a remodeling business with his best friend. Around May 2022, he went to the doctor for the first time to address tingling and weakness in his left hand. For the next 8 months, he went through numerous testing as his doctors and neurologists launched a full medical evaluation to discover the cause of his continued deterioration.
At the start of January 2023, the Jones family received the devastating diagnosis of ALS, a highly aggressive form of Motor Neuron Disease with no known cure and an average life expectancy of 2 to 5 years.
Since his symptoms appeared, Wesley has already experienced the rapid degeneration of his movement and has lost the functional capability of his hands and arms. He’s already struggling with weakness in his legs, and due to some recent falls, is now awaiting a wheelchair.
Anyone who knows Stacy knows what a generous, selfless, humble person she is. She’s a bright light in the author industry and a very talented romance writer. With everything going on, her and her family are down to relying solely on her income while she also becomes the main caregiver to her husband, along with the help of her extended family support system. But the time with her husband is precious and her time to write is limited.
Time is something we all take for granted, but it’s the one thing Wesley doesn’t have a lot of. If you find it in your heart to donate, your donation, no matter how small, will help ease the financial stress for the Joneses while making sure Stacy, Wesley, and Tripp soak up the time they have left together as a family.
Thank you so much for your generosity. It truly means the world.
